What the three Nationalist Party MEPs - Roberta Metsola, David Casa and Francis Zammit Dimech - have done in the European Parliament is nothing less than shameful.

They seemed to delight in denigrating not just our government - which some may consider to be understandable, once they are so eager to topple the government at all costs - but also went as far as to attack our country’s most important institutions - the AG’s office, the police and the judiciary.

But what I found even more reprehensible and repugnant was Casa’s attempt to associate the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia with the 17 Black allegations. Casa turned on Matthew Caruana Galizia, and asked him if the fact that their mother had been murdered a number of months after Daphne had mentioned the 17 Black allegations, whether they associated her murder with the 17 Black case? May I remind Casa and those foreign MEPs who were listening to him, of a more credible scenario of Daphne’s murder.

On September 3, 2017, Daphne posted that she was “receiving threats from Delia’s rabble”. Just six weeks and two days later Daphne was blown up to smithereens.  I am quite confident that the vast majority of voters who love our country will give the PN MEPs and their party, which condones their shameful behaviour, a deserved response on May 25.
