Malta-based automation specialist JMartans Automation has officially opened its new premises at Mosta Technopark, Mosta. Investment minister Chris Cardona and parliamentary secretary Silvio Schembri inaugurated the new premises at an event celebrating the €250,000 investment.

During the event, Jonathan Grech, director and founder of JMartans Automation, detailed the company’s upcoming plans, what the future of automation holds for businesses in Malta and how the new premises will help the company strengthen the country’s automation output.

“JMartans was founded in 2005 with one primary focus: to provide innovative automation technologies that make life simpler for businesses and people alike,” explained Grech.

A reinforcement of Malta’s manufacturing industry

“Whether it’s intelligent building automation systems to increase comfort and convenience or advanced industrial control panels to improve efficiency and process effectiveness, we’ve delivered on our vision time and time again in Malta and overseas.

“The opening of the premises marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company. Not only does the new site allow us to bring our experience and expertise to new and bigger projects, it also provides the capacity for us to represent Malta’s automation and engineering capabilities on an international level.

“Technology is developing rapidly, making it an exciting time for automation. During the inauguration, we also highlighted our new online automation store, which allows us to represent Malta’s industrial sector on a worldwide scale and place Malta at the forefront of industrial automation. This, along with these new premises, signals an exciting time for both JMartans Automation and the wider Maltese business community.”

The investment was celebrated by Dr Cardona and Mr Schembri as a reinforcement of Malta’s manufacturing industry. During the inauguration, Mr Schembri stated that the manufacturing sector contributes to more than 11 per cent of all full-time jobs in Malta.

JMartans Automation has established itself as the go-to distributor and integrator of automation systems in Malta. The company specialises in building, industrial, marine and home automation equipment and has carried out projects for many businesses and organisations, including projects at historical sites such as the Hypogeum and the Grandmaster’s Palace.
