In my letter ‘The Church v Labour’ (January 4), I wrote: “Ever since Mgr Charles Scicluna was appointed Archbishop of the diocese he has attracted harsh criticism for the overt politically-biased comments he has made. The main accusations were that he had turned the Church’s Curia and its media into Nationalist-leaning organisations.”

This has again been confirmed, not by any Labour exponent, but by two priests – Fr George Dalli and Fr Renè Camilleri.

During Brian Hansford’s Realtà on TVM, Fr Dalli was very blunt and did not mince his words when giving his various reasons why he had defined the situation at the Church’s media as “obscene” due to its bias.

On One TV’s Arena, Fr Camilleri defined the Church’s media as “a black page of the Church”, again due to its obvious political bias.

I am convinced the Archbishop will simply ignore the warnings of these two priests on why more and more people are no longer going to Church.
