In the homily delivered on the feast of the Presentation of the Lord, on February 2, during the 23rd World Day for Consecrated Life, Pope Francis said: “Consecrated life is... not about survival but new life. ‘But… there are only a few of us…’ It’s about new life. It is a living encounter with the Lord in his people. It is a call to the faithful obedience of daily life and to the unexpected surprises from the Spirit.”
As consecrated persons and communities of consecrated life, how much are we faith-fully obedient to the Holy Spirit’s surprises?
And how are we letting and encouraging our brothers and sisters being obedient to the Holy Spirit and not killing their spirit?
