A well-known Nationalist Party exponent, Godfrey Leone Ganado, brazenly opined his view on how the party can ever hope to topple the Labour Party from government. According to him, only “an economic crash”, which would result in “a large sector of the middle class and lower class becoming street beggars and street residents” can give the PN any hope of winning an election.
This was a brazen and vile suggestion to the PN and its apologists on what they should do in order for the PN to return to power.
The correspondent should not worry unduly. PN exponents have been trying to do this already, not just locally, particularly with the Egrant frame-up attempt on the Prime Minister’s family, but also in foreign countries, especially in the European Parliament and on foreign TV and radio stations and newspapers.
That they have failed is thanks to the great resilience of our government, which continues to perform at an unprecedented level, and the intelligence of our people who are no longer easily duped by PN scaremongers.
