Ironically, on the same day we were regaled with Eddy Privitera’s latest ranting protestations about people offending the wonderful mischievous Joseph Muscat (‘Political imprudence’, February 5), the front page headline said ‘OLAF asked to probe “corruption”’ and, on page 2 we read that Labour MEP Marlene Mizzi denied pocketing EU funds although she was using an office for free. A heading on page 6 said ‘Busuttil insists on Mizzi probe’.

Surely, it’s not just us uneducated foreigners that are struggling to understand why these people are still in office taking home fat pay cheques paid for by the electorate.  Someone should sound the alarm bells so they can be heard loudly from Brussels.
