Is it not possible for Melita Cable TV to offer us a BBC channel better than the current BBC Entertainment?

This once prestigious channel, then known as BBC Prime, has degenerated into a channel of continuous repeats, still recycling hackneyed programmes like Keeping up Appearances, Last of the Summer Wine and Dad’s Army.

New programmes have become a rarity so that when a new one is about to be introduced it is promoted from weeks before as being “new on BBC Entertainment”.

The only exception is, of course, EastEnders, which, by its very nature, has to be new. But even this has fallen far behind the UK screening. The climactic Christmas episode, watched by millions across the UK on Christmas Day, was shown here in the last week of January.

Sundays are the worst, for, on Sunday, those programmes shown during the week are repeated and if you are a regular viewer you are left with nothing new to watch. BBC Prime was one of the main reasons why I chose to buy this particular package from Melita Cable TV. I feel I have been cheated with its replacement.
