COLEIRO – JULIAN FRANCIS CARL, died on December 20, 2018. He passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his cousins, relatives and friends in Malta and abroad. A funeral Mass will be said on Friday, February 8, at 9am, at St Patrick’s church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations, instead of flowers, to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GALEA-LAURI. On February 4, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, VIVIENNE, née Lauri, of Ħamrun, residing at Gżira, widow of Anton, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mariolina, Hilary, Gaby and Joanna and her husband James and her beloved grandchildren Victoria and Anthony, her sisters, her sister-in-law, her nephews and nieces and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, February 9, at 8am, for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family kindly ask for any donations to be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Fra Diegu Square, Ħamrun (by cheque) or bank transfer: IBAN MT 38APSB 77013000000035618520010. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Special thanks go to the staff at Mater Dei Hospital and Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital for their dedicated care, and all the carers who looked after our dear mother.

GRECH. On February 4, at his residence, MARIO of Birkirkara, aged 70, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Tania, his son Marcel and his wife Lilian, his grandchildren Andrea and Matthea, his brothers and sisters and in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, January 7, at 8am, for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MAMO. On Wednesday, February 6, at St Catherine’s Residential Home, Attard, ALDA, widow of Charles, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Claudia and her husband Michael Clayman, and Adrian; her grandson Alex, her sister Marthese and her husband Franco Brancadoro, her sister-in-law Wendy Galea, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, February 8, at 2pm, at St Mary’s parish church, Attard, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to St Catherine’s Residential Home, Attard, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TEUMA. On February 6, at Loyola House, Naxxar, Brother EMANUEL TEUMA, SJ, aged 85, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta, his brother Francis and his wife Elma, and Nancy, widow of his brother Charles, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 3.30pm at Loyola House, Naxxar, followed by interment at the parish cemetery, Naxxar. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Infirmary for aged and sick Jesuit Fathers and Brothers will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

In Memoriam

ABELA – MARIA ELENA (Mariella), née Refalo. Treasured memories of a beloved mother and grandmother who was called to eternal life one month ago. So dearly loved, will always be remembered and so deeply missed. Our prayerful thoughts, her daughters Jocelyne, Caroline and her husband Andrew, her grandchildren Michael, Nadine, Amanda, Fiona and Lisa. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said tonight at 6.30 at St Patrick’s church, Sliema.

AQUILINA. In loving memory of ROSELLA, a very dear, loving wife, mother and grandmother, on the third anniversary of her demise, February 6, 2016. Deeply missed and forever loved by her husband George, her children Nigel, Lara and her husband Ian, her grandchildren Alexander, Ann, Emma and Sasha, her cousins, other relatives and friends. The 11.30am Mass said on Sunday, February 10 at the University chapel, Tal-Qroqq, will be offered for the repose of her soul. Dear Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ESPOSITO – YVONNE. In loving memory of a beloved mother and grandmother on the second anniversary of her passing away. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Marisa, Ivan, Roberta and their families. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PADOVANI. Cherished memories of LINA, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, on the second anniversary of her meeting with the Risen Lord. Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday, February 7, at 6pm, at the Ursuline Sisters’ chapel, Sliema. A prayer is solicited.
