Man shot in Safi
A man waiting for the appeals court to hear his case after he was found guilty of supplying heroin to a friend was shot as he left his home in Safi early yesterday morning and is in critical condition.

Mr Magri, a 32-year-old construction worker, had just left his parents’ house in Qerd in-Naħal Street shortly before 6am when he was shot twice in the stomach with a shotgun as he was about to get into his blue Skoda Favorit.

“It was absolutely wonderful,” says the company’s artistic director and spokesman Mr Peter Darrell.
“Our audiences in Malta were extremely receptive and although perhaps a little more reserved than their British counterparts, were certainly very appreciative.”
