Enemed on Friday launched a new high performance diesel with a cetane level of 60+.
The superior quality EN590 diesel fuel is available in a number of franchised fuel stations across Malta and Gozo.
The new ePower diesel contains a higher cetane value which reduces the ignition delay.
This is the time period between the injection of the fuel and the combustion in the cylinder. High cetane fuels also give better ignition quality by reducing the rate of pressure rise and peak pressure in the cylinder.
Enemed said the new diesel fuel is suitable for all diesel engines. Thanks to the efficiency of its detergent and the low carbon build-up, the ePower diesel removes existing deposits and keeps the fuel injector nozzles clean.
This reduces fuel consumption and improves engine durability, performance, vehicle drive ability and maintenance costs. It provides an increase in power and torque compared to the standard grade of diesel fuel.
Enemed also launched the ‘Spot the Sticker Competition’. ePower Diesel stickers are available at Enemed’s franchised stations and anyone who affixes the sticker to their rear windscreen would be in the chance of winning a fuel voucher.
Enemed said it would announce a winner every day on their Facebook page between February 18 and the end of March.
