Last Sunday, at about noon, I went to the MCP car park in Floriana to pick up my car and on enquiring about the lifts, which can be confusing at times, the gentleman there, seeing I was over 90 years of age and that I was carrying quite a heavy suitcase, offered to accompany me and my friend to our car.

On reaching our car, he noticed that one of the tyres was flat. He told us not to worry because he would try to replace it for us. After quite a while and a lot of hard work, he completed the changeover. Moreover, as my ticket had by then expired, he accompanied us to the exit and opened the barrier for us. We thanked him for being so kind and offered him a tip for his trouble, which he refused.

We only know his first name, Brian. I must thank him for being such a Good Samaritan. If only there were more like him around.
