The new head of the Kamra tal-Periti, Simone Vella Lenicker, has promised that the entity will not flag in its efforts to improve the quality of the built environment.

In an interview with Times Talk, the architect – who has spent 15 years on the KTP board – laments the way in which construction has evolved on the island, saying planning policies were needed before irreversible mistakes were made.

She said the KTP would be issuing guidelines for its members in the coming two years to ensure quality improves.

The full interview will be uploaded on Wednesday.
