Insurance firm GasanMamo started off the New Year with another great initiative, the first of many. Earlier this month, for another consecutive year, the firm supported the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, helping families who struggle to put food on the table.

This year the company opted for a bigger contribution and is supporting the food bank by donating the insurance of its new van. Moreover, a number of employees spent quality time at the foundation’s premises, helping with the sorting of food which had been collected.

“Our company is known for its constant engagement with local charities and we are always keen to give a helping hand to support the voluntary sector in Malta. We strongly believe that this kind of support not only helps our community and promotes corporate social responsibility but it engages and motivates our employees,” said general manager Mark Mamo.

No doubt the time spent by GasanMamo employees at the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation was an important deed that helped individuals and families are passing through a rough patch. These situations arise mainly due to benefit delays, low income, homelessness, sickness or housing issues, hence many people turn to this foundation for help. The foundation is always in need of volunteers to support and help them during the year.
