In the Cyprus top-flight, the former Malta player played 90 minutes as Apollon emerged winners over Omonia Nicosia 2-1, to remain third on 34 points.

Meanwhile, Apollon advanced into the next round of the cup after eliminating Omonia Nicosia, who incidentally they faced few days before in the league.

Schembri entered the fray on 76 minutes.

Former Malta U-19 international Jordan Williams had his Mangotsfield Town side grind out a goalless stalemate against Evesham United in the National League, Division One.

One of the three new-entries in this report is another player who had a spell with Malta U-19's Ryan Debattista, who is currently on the books of Chalfont St Peter, who are in the Isthmian League (a semi-professional league that together with the Southern League and Northern Premier League forms the seventh and eight-tier of England).

After a long-term injury, the 23-year-old was sent on loan to AFC Hayes and he was part of the team during their recent Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup, third round tie against Bedfont & Feltham. Unfortunately, the latter emerged winners 1-0.

Another newcomer is Kyle Mifsud, who was also part of the youth national teams, as last week was part of Burnham FC's team that played and earned a 3-3 draw against AFC Aldermaston in the Hellenic League - covers the ninth and tenth tier of English football.

Sam Agius is also a new player in our report, as he is eligible to represent Malta having Maltese relatives while never donning the Three Lions shirt at any age group.

The 16-year-old goalkeeper is currently on the books of Shrewsbury Town and last week was on the bench in their impressive 3-2 away win at Stoke in the FA Cup.

Elsewhere, youth James Magri played for Ebbsfleet United in the National League, U-19's category against Sutton United, with the latter emerging wnners 3-2.
