Balzan have completed the signing of midfielder Steve Pisani from Floriana.

Last month, timesofmalta.com had reported that the Malta midfielder was set to leave the Greens and terms had already been agreed between Floriana and Balzan for a few weeks now.

The transfer was finally completed on Tuesday morning when Pisani put pen to paper on an 18-month deal.

Vladimir Simovic, Balzan's technical director, was delighted with the capture of Pisani.

"I am very happy that we managed to sign Steve. He is 26 years old player with already huge experience in Maltese football," the Serbian said.

"He left a huge mark in Floriana and only the fact that we managed to attract him from the club like Floriana, one of the biggest clubs in Malta with great tradition, is showing that as a club we are going in the right direction.

"Games in football will always be won and lost, but what is important for us in Balzan FC is to do things the right way, to grow as a club, and results will come as a conseqence of a good work."

On Monday, Pisani bid farewell to Floriana in a post on facebook.

"After six years together it's time to say goodbye," Pisani wrote.

"Thank you everyone at Floriana FC, especially president Riccardo Gaucci for always being there for me through thick and thin and those close to him, to all my team-mates who helped me create unforgettable memories, to those Coaches who helped me grow as a player and finally those supporters who were always by my side at all times.

"I will always be proud that i played and captained a a glorious club like Floriana and you will always have a special place in my heart."

Pisani is Balzan's third signing in the January transfer window following the capture of defender Aleksandar Kosorovic and midfielder Paul Fenech.
