A 24-year-old man was on Sunday sentenced to an 18-month jail term, suspended for three years, for stealing a laptop from a St Paul’s Bay hotel.

Macedonian Hristijan Slavev admitted to the charges.

Inspector Spiridione Zammit said the man had not cooperated with the police and was in Malta illegally.
