Europe’s most active volcano Mount Etna erupted on Christmas Eve and resulted in a magnitude 4.8 earthquake on December 26.

The tremor near Catania injured four people, damaged buildings and causes partial road and airport closure but the volcano subsequently served as the perfect subject for videographers and photographers.

Times of Malta videographer Mark Zammit Cordina shot this drone footage over Etna during his visit to Sicily over the Christmas period.
