CASSAR. On January 4, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, PAUL of Mdina, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Jessie, his daughter Mariosa and her husband Frank, his son Albert and his wife Anne Marie, his grandchildren Theo, Kara and her husband Matthew, Caitlin and Raphael, his brother Lawrence, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. On Monday, January 7, the funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm for the Carmelite church, Mdina, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On January 3, pharmacist  SALVINU P. FARRUGIA, aged 85, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Christopher and his wife Kathleen, Joanne and her husband Robert, and Adrian and his wife Marcelle, his grandchildren Mathias, Maris, Andreas, Michael, Mark and Robert, his sisters and brother, Pauline, Jessie, Mary, Vincent and Rita, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 8am, for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MANGANI. On January 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMMANUEL, aged 62, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Jennifer, his daughter Elaine, his son Mark and fiancée Graziella, his grandchildren Zoya and Ludwig, his brother Vince and his sister Mary Jo, his in-laws and their families, relatives, colleagues and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 1.30pm for Iklin parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MESSINA FERRANTE. On December 31, HERBERT, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Elizabeth, née Zammit, his much loved son Edward H. and his wife Daniela, his adored grandchildren Marcus H. and Elisa, his sisters Josephine, wife of Mario Padovani, Monica, wife of Frank Salt, his brothers-in-law Tony Micallef Trigona, widower of his sister Maria, Tony, Victor, Joe and Norman Zammit, his sister-in-law Sandra, wife of Joseph Shaw, their spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital Sliema tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 8.15am, for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank specially the doctors and nurses of the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for the dedication and care shown during his last days at the centre. Donations, rather than flowers to Puttinu Cares Oncology Centre, Msida, will be greatly appreciated.

TESTA. On December 31, CONNIE, née Fenech Soler, aged 82, widow of Henry, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Roger, her daughter Erika Sammut Alessi, her grandchildren Lara and her fiancé Chris Borg and George, her sister Josephine DeMartino, her in-laws Josette and Marie Testa and Sandra Griffin, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 12.30pm, for Hilltop Gardens chapel, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 1pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TONNA. On December 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALEX, aged 61, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved Nadia and their daughter Emma, his sisters Vivien and Corinne and their families, Nadia’s parents Mary and Anthony Cassar, and her brother and sister Ray and Ivana, and their families, as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 8am, for Mosta Basilica where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Any donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Special thanks go to his brother-in-law Tony and all the other consultants and staff at Mater Dei Hospital who looked after him with so much care and dedication.

ZAMMIT. On January 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, MONICA, née Borda, of Paola, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Dr Joseph Zammit, her children Marcella and her husband John Muscat, Carlo Alberto, Aldo and his wife Joanna, Bianca Maria and Sergio and his wife Ruth, her sisters Catherine and her husband Dr David Yost and Sr Dr Maria Borda of the Medical Missionaries of Mary, her grandsons Nick, Jack and Mark, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, January 5, at 7.30am, for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VELLA BAMBER – RICHARD. In memory of a dear husband, father and grandfather on the 21st anniversary of his demise. Today’s 6.30pm Mass celebrated at Stella Maris parish church will be offered for the repose of his soul. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
