On a bright and sunny New Year Day’s morning, I left my home and headed to Fleming Pharmacy, in Paola. To my astonishment, all the parking bays there were taken. Only one was available, at a considerable distance from the pharmacy.
Going back home, I noticed a vacant space, which was not there when I was going to the pharmacy. I then realised that, given the many vehicles that are used every day, each time a car leaves, a parking space would be required at its destination. Which means that if 1,000 cars are on the move, 1,000 parking bays would be needed.
Parking has become unsustainable in Paola. At no given time are parking spaces made available at the rate mentioned above.
I do hope a solution is sought and implemented urgently.
