She leaves to mourn her loss her sister-in-law Edith, widow of Lawrence, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia, Attard, tomorrow, Thursday, January 3, at 8.45am for Attard parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. BORG. On December 29, at the Gozo General Hospital, TONY of Fontana, aged 56, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Dr Mary DeBono Borg, his sons Dr Alex and David, his sister Antoinette, his brothers George and Saviour, his wife’s sister Sonia, their spouses, nephews and nieces, relatives, colleagues and numerous friends. The funeral cortege leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, January 3, at 3.30pm for Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Cemetery, Xewkija. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On Wednesday, January 2, MICHAEL of Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children, Joanna and her husband Michael Gonzi, Adriana and her husband Vladimir Milic, Madeleine and her husband Ian Sammut Dacoutros and Marc and his partner Candace Vella Bencini, his grandchildren Hannah, Luisa, Juliana, Thomas, Nina, Zak and his brother Victor, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, January 4, at 8.30am, for St Mary of the Angels Church, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DEBONO. On December 29, MARY of St Venera, member of the Society of Christian Doctrine M.U.S.E.U.M., aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Fr Nikol Debono Montebello, her sister Antoinette and her husband Charles Camilleri, nephews and nieces Mariella, Karen, Carl, Lino, Antoine and Franco, their respective families, members of the M.U.S.E.U.M. Society, other relatives and friends. MESSINA FERRANTE. On December 31, HERBERT, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Elizabeth, née Zammit, his much loved son Edward H. and his wife Daniela, his adored grandchildren Marcus H. and Elisa, his sisters Josephine, wife of Mario Padovani, Monica, wife of Frank Salt, his brothers-in-law Tony Micallef Trigona, widower of his sister Maria, Tony, Victor, Joe and Norman Zammit, his sister-in-law Sandra, wife of Joseph Shaw, their spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, January 5, at 8.15am, for St Julians parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank specially the doctors and nurses of the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for the dedication and care shown during his last days at the Centre. Donations, rather than flowers to Puttinu Cares Oncology Centre, Msida, will be greatly appreciated. MIFSUD. On December 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL, aged 84, surrounded by his beloved family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Georgina, née Xerri, his children Mario and his wife Vicky, née Zahra, Pierre and his wife Erica, née Terribile and Joanne, and his grandchildren Carla, Katrina, Pia, Luigi and Giuseppe, his in-laws Lawrence Micallef, Doris Mifsud, Bice and Vivie Xerri, Doris and her husband Frank Vella and Annie Xerri, other relatives and numerous friends. He will be particularly remembered for his philanthropic work within the Catholic Action Movement, and his radio programme Is-Siegha tal-Morda. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, January 3, at 7.30am for a celebration Mass, praesente cadavere, at 8am at the collegiate parish church of St Paul Shipwrecked, Valletta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PERICI. On December 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSEMARY, née Frendo, of Sliema, residing at Roseville, Attard, aged 89, widow of Perit Joseph Perici, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her only child Victoria and her partner Michael Mallia, her beloved grandchildren Andrew and Mark and his partner Sabrina, their father Albert Zammit and his partner Lydia Felice, her brother-in-law Canon Francis Perici, her sisters-in-law Yvonne Frendo, Doris Frendo and Yvonne Perici, her nephew Professor Anthony Frendo and his wife Lilian, her nieces Marthese and her husband Vincent Camenzuli and Nathalie and her husband Mark Bamber, other nephews and nieces from the Frendo, Perici and Bonello families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, January 3, at 1.30pm, for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SCICLUNA. On December 31, JOSEPH of Vittoriosa residing in Santa Luċija, aged 77, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, passed on to eternal life. He will be forever cherished by his devoted wife Annie, his daughter Simone and her husband Paul Borg, his son Ian and his wife Nadia, his grandchildren Raquel and fiancè Paul Cutajar, Michaela and Michael, his brothers and sisters Tony, Martin, Mary, Carmen and Connie and their spouses, his brother-in-law Maurice and his wife Rose, his nephews, nieces and their respective families, many relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Thursday, January 3, at 7.45am, for St Pius X parish church, Santa Luċija, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. TONNA. On December 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALEX, aged 61, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved Nadia and their daughter Emma, his sisters Vivien and Corinne and their families, Nadia’s parents Mary and Anthony Cassar, and her brother and sister Ray and Ivana, and their families, as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, January 5, at 8am, for Mosta Basilica where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Any donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Special thanks go to his brother-in-law Tony and all the other consultants and staff at Mater Dei Hospital who looked after him with so much care and dedication.

VALLETTA. On December 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, MONICA of Ħamrun, residing in Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Miriam Spampinato, widow of Salvatore, who lived with her, Wallace and his wife Margot, Vincent and his wife Margaret, Hilda and her husband Emmanuel Camilleri, residing in Australia, Joe and his wife Rose, Godwin and his wife Mary, Mary Anne, widow of her brother Tony, their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Wednesday, January 2, at 1.30pm for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. NAUDI. In loving memory of ROBERT, a dear and beloved brother, today the 11th anniversary of his demise. Fondly remembered by his brother Anton and his wife, Marlene, in-laws, nephews and nieces. Forever in our thoughts and daily prayers. May the Lord grant him eternal peace and rest. All his relatives and friends are kindly asked to remember him in their daily prayers.
