The Gaulitanus Choir’s programme of events for the festive season reaches a climax tomorrow, when once more it will musically usher in the New Year with the seventh edition of A New Year’s Toast.

This will be held at the Kempinski Hotel, San Lawrenz, tomorrow at 7.30pm. Entrance to the event is free.

As always, the musical programme presents a festive repertoire intended to set a positive mood for the year’s start and to offer an ideal way to celebrate the New Year with oomph in a relaxed environment.

Hence, bouncy Christmassy numbers and a boisterous Mary Poppins medley will alternate with some interesting British part-songs and a few semi-folkloristic Maltese excerpts, which make a definitely not-to-miss, exciting and spicy evening… also with a few surprises.

A New Year’s Toast will prominently feature the Gaulitanus Choir and its soloists, with the choir’s artistic musical director Colin Attard conducting.

A repeat performance of the concert will be held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Valletta, courtesy of the director of the RCSC, Andrey Muraviev, on January 11 at 7pm.

Back to back with the choir’s very recent and successful three foreign concert tours, this annual fare also rounds up the choir’s first phase of its 2018-2019 season.
