The Comedy Knights have created their unique way of looking at Malta and the Maltese. Here, in a satirical, high-end fashion shoot-style spread, they give us a taster of what’s to come in their sixth show, let’s talk about six!, and help us take a look at the trends that have taken Malta by storm over the last 12 months.

Protesting

There are so many things to protest about nowadays! The choic e is endless! Corruption, global warming, rule of law, Donald

Trump, construction, Brexit, the rise of the hipster coffee shop , lack of Nutella biscuits. Can’t decide what to protest about?

Protest about everything! Grab your banners and hit the streets, but make sure you post about it on social media or else it’s like it di Malta is so good at protesting, that some people protesdn’t happen).t the protesters! Oh, and there’s no need to clear away anything after the protest as the government kindly pro vides its own overnight clear-away service free of charge!

Sliema girls

The Sliema girls take the south!

From Font Għadir to Fontini ta’ Feliċ, Sliema Girls are on the move, but always looking good. After befriending the Bormla Babes last year anything can happen, especially as rental

prices in Sliema have skyrocketed. Beppe and Jeremy are now also facing charges of money laundering in Panama. Bex can’t believe they would even go to a laundry: “Mhux they have a maid?” she was heard asking.

“Which way to Bormla, hun?”

“Bormla? Isn’t that what the old people use to cook the brodu?”

“No, that’s a cooker.”

“U ejja?”

“Mela!”

“I hear Bormla is up-and-coming.”

“Like Jeremy last night?”

Jo Caruana: Poncho, jeans and gloves from Armani Exchange.

Pia Zammit: Dress and coat from Armani Exchange.

Props: Art bags in silver, red and black from Armani

Exchange; the rest, stylist’s own.

Trees

The apocalypse is coming, but that’s no reason to not look your best! As we cut down all the trees and soon will end up with no clean oxygen to breathe we can, at least, all still enjoy the January sales, Black Friday and the limited edition ‘retro-style’ oxygen masks. All together now, let’s raise our hands and cry to the heavens, “Why is that guy from TV cutting down my potted plant? And where is he off to in his dinner jacket?

Wait, is it New Year’s Eve?”

Marc Cabourdin: Suit and jumper from Armani Exchange; shoes stylist’s own.

Colin Fitz: Tuxedo and shoes, stylist’s own.

Props: Stylist’s own.

The News

Laughing in the face of bad news? U mela, let the bad news pile up; it’s SEP [someone else’s problem]! Don’t worry about it. You can block it all out if you want. Sometimes, it even helps to laugh at the world’s problems; it’s better than crying. No one likes a cry baby, anyway. Do you know what we say? If lif e gives you a pile of newspapers, build a tower with them (everyone loves a tower!) Try playing Jenga with them! Invite friends over and turn stories about corruption, destruction and construction into wholesome holiday fun this Christmas!

Thomas Camilleri: Jeans, sweater and shirt from Armani Exchange; socks, stylist’s own.
