Joe Aquilina St John (‘Goose and gander’, December 19) tried to compare oranges to potatoes.

What have “transparency, meritocracy and accountability”, which he mentioned, got to do with the stupid, ludicrous, silly, surreal and utterly banal statements of Adrian Delia, which I had quoted in my letter ‘The goose and the gander’?

Certainly no one had ever heard Joseph Muscat say such silly things as Delia’s “three gems”, which I quoted.

As to why the Prime Minister keeps giving [Konrad] Mizzi all the multimillion-euro projects to oversee is quite simple. Mizzi delivers and gets results.
