Over the course of centuries artists created impressive sculptures with the intervention of fire.

Fire, the ninth solo exhibition of artist Chris Ebejer at the Banca Giuratale in Gozo, explores the technique of fire in relation with sculptural works which are created in bronze, terracotta and ceramics.

During this exhibition one can observe various developments and techniques employed by the artist resulting in both figurative and expressive impressions.

The viewer is invited to relish a taste of diversity reflecting Ebejer’s eclectic qualities using and combining several materials and ideas as well as his ability in adapting a variety of materials to different effect.

This collection highlights the artist’s proficiency and creativity ranging from surreal and imaginary to representative and allegoric.

Fire runs at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria, until January 6. Opening times: Monday to Friday between 8am and 3pm; Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am to 12pm. Entrance is free. For more information visit www.chrisebejer.com or call 7904 6540.
