BROWNRIGG. On December 6, OLGA, of Sliema, aged 98, widow of Henry, passed peacefully away after a long and fruitful life comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her very sad loss her beloved children Helen and her husband Godfrey Sciberras, Monica and George and Madlyn, her grandchildren Janis, Henry, Maxine and Martin, and her great-grandchild Nick, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, December 10, at 1pm for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to express their appreciation to the management and staff of Casa Antonia for the sterling care given to her these past three years.
GATT RUTTER. JOSEPH, aged 72, passed peacefully away on December 7 at Hilltop Village. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Antoinette, his son John Gatt Rutter, his daughters Sarah Gatt Rutter and Rachel Percival, their partners Karin, George and Ricky, his beloved grandsons Axel and Isaac, his brother John Gatt Rutter in Australia, his sister Angela Flintoft in the UK, relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be held at the chapel of the Hilltop Village in Naxxar tomorrow, Monday, December 10, at 1pm. He will be laid to rest in the family crypt at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SULTANA. On December 7, at Dar tal Kleru, Birkirkara, Fr GIUSEPPE (known as Joseph), aged 87, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only niece Joan Caruana, other relatives and friends. He will be also dearly missed by his former parishioners at Madonna del Ulivo in Prato, Italy. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, December 10 at noon for the Knisja Qadima in Balzan where people can pay him their last respects. Mass præsente cadavere will then be celebrated by Archbishop Charles Scicluna at Balzan parish church at 2.30pm followed by interment at the parish cemetery, Balzan. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Kleru will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to il-Qaddejja taċ-Ċenaklu and all the staff at Dar tal-Kleru for their dedication and loving care. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On December 6, MARIE, widow of Leonard, went to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her sad loss Raymond and Mariella Vassallo, Bernard and Lucia Vassallo and Dorothy Rizzo, nephews and nieces Simon and Claire Vassallo, David and Emma Vassallo, Kristelle and Alan von Brockdorff, Michael and Francesca Rizzo, Mark and Philippa Rizzo, her grand-nephews and grand-nieces Jeremy and Kaye, John, Stephanie and Julian, Zoe and Max, Nicola, Alex and Pippa, her many Vassallo and Paris relatives, as well as her special friends Jofy Mainzer and Notary Joseph Saydon. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Monday, December 10, at 8.45am at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Siġġiewi cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
