The front-page story of The Sunday Times of Malta (December 2) regarding “a source within the police force” saying that Adrian Delia is being investigated by the police in connection with allegations originally made by Daphne Caruana Galizia must have shocked all those who have been calling for the resignation of Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri due to the fact that there are magisterial inquiries under way about allegations of their involvement in wrongdoings, which both have continuously denied.

One now expects that Delia and his party will desist from continuing to ask for Mizzi’s and Schembri’s resignations unless the Opposition leader decides to resign. In my view, we should wait for the result of the investigations in progress with regard to all three. After all, allegations can also be made with malevolent intent.

We will now see what the PN and its leader are going to do. Will they accept that what is good for the goose is good for the gander?
