A project that took 21 years to complete – between 1992 and 2013 – will be open to the public tomorrow.

Marija Assunta Hall in Mqabba, decorated with paintings by the well-known Gozitan artist Paul Camilleri Cauchi, earlier this year underwent a general restoration which also gave a new fresh look and colour tones to the walls.

Those visiting the property of the Society of St Mary and King George V Band Club, will have the opportunity to admire the finest paintings and architecture of this gem free of charge.

An extra addition for the visitors is a Christmas market taking place around the Church Square.

Marija Assunta Hall’s open day is being held tomorrow between 10am and 5pm.
