Over the past 30 years, Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Malta Foundation (formerly known as Young Enterprise) has revolutionised the world of entrepreneurial non-formal education.

Since being founded in 1988, more than 7,000 students have taken part in the JAYE Malta programmes locally, bridging the gap between the realms of academia and the professional world. JAYE has provided students between the ages of eight and 30 with the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on, practical and fun entrepreneurial activities.

To commemorate their 30th anniversary, JAYE Malta is hosting a three-course gala dinner for all JAYE affiliates to celebrate their achievements, to reaffirm the value and relevance of JAYE Malta’s work for the professional world and youth of today, and to lay the groundwork for the next generation of young achievers.

The JAYE Malta 30th anniversary celebration will be held at the InterContinental on December 6 at 7.30pm. On the night, winners of the People’s Choice Award for each decade will be announced. The public is encouraged to vote for any JAYE contributor – be it an alumnus, mentor, advisor, teacher, staff or board member, or another stakeholder who they feel truly encapsulates the spirit of the organisation – via the JAYE Malta Foundation Facebook page.

“We invite everybody to share their JAYE story with us on December 6, as we celebrate the achievements of JAYE Malta, as well as the successes of the hundreds of JAYE alumni who have benefitted from the non-formal educational experiences provided by our programmes over the past 30 years,” said JAYE Malta’s chief executive officer Julian Azzopardi.
