VALLETTA       1

ST ANDREWS   0

A solitary goal by Enmy Pena Beltre was enough for Valletta to overcome a disciplined St Andrews side.

In the first period, if anything, it was St Andrews who tried the hardest to go into the lead when Henry Bonello denied Kevaughn Atkinson a certain goal past the half hour mark.

Lucky was certainly on the side of the Lilywhites who had Nwoko volley an effort on the side-netting after the break

On 76 minutes, Valletta finally drew deserved dividends at last. Raed Ibrahim set up Pena Beltre who exacted a delightful left-foot that bent viciously away from Matthew Calleja Cremona’s despairing dive.

Enmy Pena Beltre was voted the BOV player of the match.
