BUGEJA. On November 22, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology hospital, ALFRED of Naxxar, aged 83 passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss, his wife Adelina, his sons Paul and his wife Lucrezia, Victor and his wife Odette, Walter and his wife Mariana, Joseph and his wife Brigitte, his brother Joseph, his sister Mary, and Pawla wife of his late brother Anthony, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, November 23, at 4pm at Naxxar parish church followed by interment at Naxxar Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Puttinu Cares, Dar Bjorn or Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASSAR. On November 17, JOSEPHINE, mother of Mark Carani, aged 51, went to meet the Risen Lord and her sister Doris. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her son Mark, her sisters and brothers, Rita, Carmen, Sylvia and Katie, Mario, Leonard and Ganni, their families and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, November 24, at 8am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Bubaqra cemetery, Żurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to the Salesians of Don Bosco, Sliema, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Mark would like to thank family and friends for their care and support over the last days.

CLOUGH. On November 21, RICHARD of Sliema, aged 72, passed away peacefully at home in the UK. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Anne, née Darmanin, daughters Nicola and Lisa and their husbands Philippe and Robert, son Stephen and wife Jacqueline, and his grandchildren Alex, Juliette, Beatrix, Elizabeth, Sebastian, James and Catherine. He also leaves his in-laws Yvonne, Anne-Marie, Joe and cousin Alina.

SCHEMBRI. On November 20, CARMELO of Guardamangia, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Giovanna, née Borg Bonaci, his children Veronica and Paul, Giuseppe and Vera, Natalie, Brian and Olga, his grandchildren Francesco, Karmichael, Vika, Karina, Ilya, Lev, Joanna and their families, great-grandchildren, his sister, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, November 24, at 8.15am, for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Special thanks to the medical team at Mater Dei Hospital for their care and dedication.

SPITERI. On Friday, November 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, after an illness borne with Christian fortitude, LORENZA (Lora), residing at Żejtun, aged 71, surrounded by her family members and comforted by the rites of Holy Church, passed away peacefully to meet the Lord. She leaves to mourn her great loss, her brother Michael and her sisters Mary Carmen and Miriam, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, November 26, at 2.45pm for Żejtun parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Żejtun cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family is grateful to Fr George Spiteri who consistently gave her spiritual support and solace. The family also thanks all consultants, doctors, nurses and staff at Mater Dei Hospital, for their professionalism, compassion and dedication.

STUART – JANE. Passed away peacefully in her afternoon rest on Monday, November 19. She was much loved and will be missed by her children Charlotte and Ben, their families and her many friends. Funeral service will be held tomorrow, Saturday, November 24, at 3pm, at Għargħur parish church, followed by private interment at Għargħur cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Heartfelt thanks to Hospice Malta, Balzan, and Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for their exceptional care. Donations to Hospice Malta would be greatly appreciated.
