Malta's e-government services have again been judged the best in Europe, on the basis of the number of services available online and on mobile phone.

The eGovernment Benchmark 2018, issued by the European Commission shows Malta obtained most marks in four priority areas - user centricity, transparency, accessibility by other EU citizens and technological infrastructure.

The government said it would continue to invest in the sector, having allocated 40m euro for the Converge project to improve interaction between the public service and its clients.

More services accessible on mobile phone will be announced shortly.
