MORAN. On November 20, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr VINCENT MORAN of Cospicua, residing at Paola, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his sisters Mary and Rose, his in-law Carmena and her family, his nieces and nephews, Miriam, Carmen, Rita, Lorraine, Sandra, Joanne, Rosette and Thomas, Carmen, Victor, Joe, Ganni, Tessie, Joanne and their respective families, and other close relatives, amongst whom Dr Salvinu Grixti, Dr Yan Chircop and Marion Chircop. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, November 22, at 9.30am, for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SPITERI MAEMPEL. On November 19, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, CONNIE, widow of John, aged 95, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Gerard and his wife Karin, Johanna, Nicola and her husband Marcus, her brother Fr John Briffa, SDB, her grandchildren Francesca and her husband Thomas, Petra and her husband John, Federica and her husband Andrew, Anthea and John and her great-grandchildren Max and Xander. The funeral cortège leaves Casa Antonia tomorrow, Wednesday, November 21, at 2pm for the parish church of the Annunciation, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.15pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Salesians of Don Bosco, Sliema, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.The family would like to thank the nurses, carers and staff of Casa Antonia for their care and support over the past years.

VELLA. On November 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH (Taċ-Ċaċċis), passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Phillis, his sons Mario and Richard, nephews, nieces, family and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, November 21, at 2.15pm, for St Mary’s (Marija Assunta) parish church, Mġarr, where Mass will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Mġarr cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank the management and staff at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre and at Mater Dei Hospital. Thanks also go to the staff at Hospice Malta for all their help and support.
