PD’s general secretary Martin Cauchi Inglott, a retired army officer and a former diplomat, will be contesting the European Parliament elections on Partit Demokratiku’s ticket.

Mr Cauchi Inglott said that he had proudly served Malta for nearly three decades and would be honoured to continue to serve the country in the EP.

He said that should he be elected, he would focus mainly on migration since he had operational experience dealing with migration at sea, and policy experience in the field in Brussels, but he hoped to also cover other areas which affected Malta.

Mr Cauchi Inglott is married to Wenche and they have two sons: Mark, a serving officer in the AFM’s Maritime Squadron, and Kristian, a third year medical student.
