The past 10 months have been busy, and the results have been encouraging, the Customs Department said on Thursday.

It said its officials in the year to the end of October seized 11,450kg of cannabis, 5kg of cocaine, 50.3 million contraband cigarettes, 147.25kg of tobacco,  48 million counterfeit items, and 26 mail packets with small amounts of drugs.

Its officials also seized two boats, six cars, 3,595 bottles of wines and spirits, 84 boxes of pipe fittings, 64 boxes packed with plastic bags and three Ivory items.
