Investment company Exante was named investor of the year at the Malta Blockchain Awards held within the framework of the Malta Blockchain Summit last week.

The company's communications director Patrick O’Brien said the award reflected the level of trust the company enjoyed among industry leaders.

"We confidently introduce innovations and continue to expand the boundaries of what is possible for investors in both markets — traditional financial and cryptocurrency," he said.

One of Exante’s main achievements is the Bitcoin Fund, which the founders of Exante launched in 2012.

A year later, the fund had a yield of 4,847 per cent and in 2017 – more than 10,000 per cent.

At the moment, along with traditional assets, Exante’s clients can invest in 15 cryptocurrencies, as well as the altcoins fund – all from one account.

"We will not stop innovating to create better opportunities for our customers. As a leader, we continue to improve the ecosystem, and it’s not just a promise, it’s our responsibility," Mr O’Brien added.

Exante has been headquartered in Malta since 2010.
