The following are the top stories in Monday's newspapers.

Times of Malta leads with fears among insurers that the new national alcohol policy was rushed. It also says Satabank, which is currently closed, has enough funds to pay depositors. 

The Malta Independent quotes the Children's Commissioner saying children's identity needs to be protected in court hearings. The newspaper also says former UHM general secretary Gejtu Vella is against mandatory union membership for workers. 

In-Nazzjon quotes Opposition leader Adrain Delia insisting that the prime minister can no longer shirk his responsibility to safeguard Malta's image in the wake of the 17 Black allegations. 

l-orizzont, meanwhile, says the prime minister is skeptical about the 17 Black allegations and wants an inquiry to establish the facts.
