Did you know that the Knights of Malta were also in Sardinia? Their symbols appear in different parts of the island: Santu Lussurgiu, Sassari, Guspini and Cagliari.

Fr Angelo Manca, a Salesian from Sardinia, will be talking about the remains of the presence of the Knights of Malta in Sardinia. One of the best ones is actually in Santu Lussurgiu, in the province of Oristano, Sardinia, where Fr Angelo was born. This is probably why he became so interested in the Knights of Malta in Sardinia.

Fr Angelo, one of the members of the team working on Salesian historical research for the Sardinia Autonomous Region since 2000, has already published two books. He will answer questions before concluding the evening over a glass of wine and some treats.

Entrance is free. The talk will be held at the  Italian Cultural Institute, St George’s Square, Valletta, tomorrow at 6.30pm.
