An Italian company has chosen Malta for the official presentation of a new system which uses hydrogen technology to drastically reduce atmospheric pollution from the exhaust gases emitted by thermal engines.

The kit was designed over a period of six years and has been tested on more than 2,150 vehicles including cars, trucks, trailers, buses, tractors and boats.

Seeking collaboration of the environment and transport ministries to promote kit

The H1 Kit was born after mechanical engineers, computer engineers and mechatronic technicians worked together, aiming to create a device capable of reducing polluting emissions in the atmosphere by 80 per cent, reducing fuel consumption by between 20 and 50 per cent, and improving the performance of thermal engines.

The kit uses an electrolytic process to change water into oxy-hydrogen, a combustible gas, which is then sucked into the engine. No hydrogen bottles are stored in the vehicle and there is no hydrogen injection into the engine.

The kit can be installed without technical modifications to the engine and without compromising its safety.

Carmelo Formica and Vincenzo Belvedere from M.C. International Ltd and Cetty Muraglia from Target Marketing & Tradings Ltd were recently in Malta to officially launch the kit on the local market.

They are seeking the collaboration of the environment and transport ministries to promote the H1 Kit which is being installed by authorised mechanics in Malta.
