Vassallo Group CEO Pio Vassallo presented €10,000 collected during the group’s annual dress down day to Dr Victor Calvagna on behalf of Puttinu Cares. The presentation took place at the Rainbow Ward in the Oncology division of Mater Dei Hospital. Charlo Bonnici, the group’s director of HR and communications, was also present, along with HR representatives from Vassallo Builders, CareMalta, CaterEssence and Vassallo Group.

Through this initiative managers and employees were invited to donate hours or days of leave to help raise an attractive sum. Other activities were held, such as hotdog and donut days where employees pitched in to handle the necessary preparations to make these events successful while also raising more money for this worthy cause.

Vassallo Group takes pride in organising such events to help out the community as part of its corporate social responsibility plan. And since they say charity begins at home, the group also has its own Arkati Foundation, a solidarity fund solely to support employees of the group going through difficult times.
