The Centre for Ignatian Spirituality (CIS), in collaboration with the Institute of Pastoral Formation, is organising a four-year programme aimed at training retreat and spiritual directors.

The course is divided in two parts. The first two years will be dedicated to the study of basic theology, Scriptures, Ignatian spiri­tuality, the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and pastoral psychology.

The second part will be of a more practical nature during which participants will receive practical training in retreat and spiritual direction under supervision.

The course is intended primarily for lay people but religious and priests who wish to pursue the training are also welcome to apply.  It will be conducted in Maltese and it will start in September 2019. The programme sessions ware normally be held on Thursdays between 6.30 and 8.30pm at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Tarġa Gap,  Mosta. There will also be a number of courses and seminars held on weekends.
