Beware Ryanair car hire. Unlike some other car rental brokers who accept a deposit, Ryanair demands full payment up front for the rental.

If your evening Ryanair flight is delayed enough for you to just miss the opening hours of the car rental company office (and you didn’t phone their office to advise about delay), when you turn up first thing next morning to collect the car you paid for, you’ll be told that yesterday you were a “no show”, so the contract you paid for has expired and you need to pay for a new hire contract. Does it sound like fraudulent trading?
