AZZOPARDI. On November 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDGAR, of Sliema, passed peacefully away at the age of 91 comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Margaret (Maggie). Sadly missed by his daughters Valerie and her husband Charles Borg, Frieda and her husband Simon Diacono and his sister Rose Loporto, his grandchildren Isaac, Thomas Nicholas and Tippa and his great-granddaughter Stella. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Monday, November 5, at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

CASSAR. On October 30, at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK, former ambassador Dr GEORGE CASSAR, of Qormi, aged 69, passed peacefully away after a short illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Jane, his daughter Antonella and her partner Bruce, his son Carl and his partner Clare, his daughter Kate and her daughter Saskia, his daughter Amy and her husband Nick and their children, Oliver, Joshua and Alexander, his brothers Mr Justice Silvio Meli and his wife Sylvana, Philip Meli and his wife Jackie, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

ELLUL. On November 2, at Central Home, Mosta, HELEN, widow of Lawrence, of Birkirkara, aged 90, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Charles and Doris, Michael and his wife Therese, Mary and her husband Manuel, her grandchildren Simone, Joanna and Ben, Chris and Lara, Tiziana and Kurt, Stefano and Marit, Elaine and Marco, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, November 5, at 8am for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GATT. On October 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, of Sliema, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her son George and his wife Lesley, her grandchildren Charlotte, Kelly, Ashley and Frankie, her great-grandchildren Imogen and Riley, son-in-law Russel, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, November 5, at 8am, for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation, Mosta, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GRECH. On November 3, at the Floriana Home, MAY, aged 85, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Alfred and his wife Lilian, her sister Lilian and her husband Michael Brincat residing in Australia, her nephews and nieces Stephanie and her husband James Forte, Kevienne and her husband France-Matthew Vella, Ian and his wife Michelle Stafford, Cristina Levitt Sagcha, other family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, November 5, at 1.30pm, for the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BECK – Capt. HARRY BECK, October 4, 1984. Husband to the late Anne Beck, and in loving memory of father and grandfather, and great-grandfather, especially now on the anniversary of his death. CARUANA – ARTHUR. A dearly loved father and grandfather, always very much loved, alive in our hearts and minds, today being the 48th year of his meeting with the Lord. VELLA – ANN. Forever remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
