A restaurant owner in Bangkok got into an argument with a customer, killed him and then served his remains to his vegetarian patrons, Thai news sites have reported.

Patrons at the vegetarian restaurant were disgusted to find chunks of meat in their food and reported the establishment to authorities earlier this week. Police who visited found a shocking discovery – the remains of a missing 61-year-old man and blood splatters across the kitchen.

The man was last seen on October 21 having drinks at the restaurant. Thai police believe he got into an argument with the restaurant owner and was subsequently killed. The restaurant owner planned on disposing of the body by serving it to his patrons.

His plan may not have worked, but he may have gotten away with it: Bangkok police said the suspect had vanished and was on the run.
