A vibrant crowd gathered at Medasia Playa in Sliema to celebrate the end of summer and to help Victim Support Malta with its fundraising Summer Sunset 2018 Dine and Wine event.

VSM is an NGO that provides support and assistance to victims of crime such as theft and burglary, domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment, discrimination and cybercrime.

The fundraising event included live entertainment by Cliff Zammit Stevens and Petra. The tenor recently founded The Marcy Foundation, which raises awareness and tackles issues including domestic violence and mental health. Petra, well known in the local music scene, having participated in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, performed her song Evolution, which focuses on the evolvement of people through the struggles they encounter.
