Freedom Riders Malta recently held their seventh anniversary Fun Ride – a charity event in aid of Damien Ebejer, an unfortunate youth suffering from a rare disease who has had another part of his leg amputated.

The local motorcycle club is known to go out of its way to help people in need. In fact, they have been organising events and have financially helped various individuals and institutions over the past seven years.
The flooding and the bad weather did not scare the riders on the day. Braving the pouring rain and bad weather, they met with their bikes at Luxol Gounds, St Andrew’s where they were joined by other brave bikers and rode together to the Gudja Football Ground, where the event was held. Others joined directly at the ground.
Bikers and friends had a fun-packed day, with live bands, live DJ, food and drinks. The event was free of charge but a raffle was drawn and most bikers took part in it to help Damien.
This event was possible thanks to kind-hearted sponsors and all the great bikers and friends who helped out in many ways, even by simply joining.
As a result of this event, €2,000 were collected.
