The festival Music+, which came to an end recently with a series of recitals, master classes by international tutors, workshops and talks, resumes on Sunday at 7.30pm at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, with a flute and piano recital – Bach and Beyond – featuring Maltese-Canadian flutist Rebecca Hall and Maltese pianist Gisele Grima.

Organised by the Classique Foundation, the festival will feature works by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Bizet, Granados and Maltese composer Joseph Vella, who passed away early this year. This recital will take place instead of the advertised trumpet and piano recital, since one of the soloists is indisposed.

Entrance to the recital is free of charge. Music+ concludes with a conference in Maltese: Il-Futur tal-Opra fil-Gżejjer Maltin, which will take place on November 9 at 7.30pm at the Circolo Gozitano, Savina Square, Victoria. This conference, to be moderated by Paul Xuereb, will also be addressed by internationally renowned soprano Miriam Gauci and Cecilia Xuereb. All opera buffs, scenographers, choristers, chorus masters, conductors, props managers, repetiteurs, stage managers, artistic directors, reviewers and all those involved in opera productions are invited to participate.
