TV’s Comedy Central writer and stand-up comedian Sid Singh will headline Maltese Funny Business’s comedy show – as part of Spazju Kreattiv’s programme – on Saturday at 8.30pm in Studio B.

Supported by local comedians Sandra Gauci, Tanya Malta and MC’d by Maltese Funny Business founder Paul Pennington, who this year celebrates 40 years as a media professional, the show is the comedy company’s 21st in just 11 months.

“We are delighted to open this first monthly showcase stand-up show with such a strong line-up. Sandra and Tanya are performers/writers we’ve discovered and helped develop, who we firmly believe have a great future. They are as delighted as I am to be sharing a stage with the incredible Singh, who will be making his Maltese debut.

“This show marks the start of a busy few months for us, with Dave Chawner and Tom Houghton, two highly thought-of UK acts that will be joining us for our shows in November and December.

“Our new talent night in Paceville (Sunday) at The Thirsty Barber has gone from strength to strength and we are looking at extending our classes and workshops for new comics and there’s even talk of a national tour of Malta.”

Tickets for Saturday's show are available from Spazju Kreattiv’s box office on 2122 3200 or via www.kreattivita.org.
