ATTARD. On Monday, October 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH S. of Marsa, residing at Birkirkara, aged 86, passed away peacefully after a short illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brothers and sister, Fr Wistin Attard, OFM Cap., Mary, John, Frans and his wife Victoria, David and his wife Rose, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7.45am, for the Holy Trinity parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at8.30am, followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. BUSUTTIL. On October 21, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, RENEE, of Valletta, residing in Naxxar, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Godfrey, her daughter Donatella and husband Patrick, her son Jean Pierre and wife Jacky, her grandchildren Thomas, Martina, Nina and Adam, her brother Joe and wife Doris, Doris widow of her brother Frans, Carmen widow of her brother Tony, all relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be held tomorrow, October 23, at 9.15 am at St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CAUCHI. On October 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMMA née Savona, of Birkirkara, aged 96, wife of the late Louis (known as Gigi) Cauchi, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Ronnie and his wife Rose, Louis and his wife Marion, MaryAnne and her husband Charles, Carmen and her husband Crescenzio, Albert and his wife Monica, Antida and her husband John, Eileen and her husband George and Mark and his wife Janet, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23, at 2pm for Santa Theresa Convent and Sanctuary Church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FARRUGIA. On Thursday, October 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSA MARIE, née Ellul, widow of Emmanuel, born in Senglea and residing at Casa Arkati, Mosta, in her 89th year, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, went to meet the Risen Lord. Her three children, Lewis, widower of Josette, Anna and her husband Martin Abela, Stephen and his wife Shirley, grandchildren Andrew, Rachel and her boyfriend Matthias, Gabriel, Yasmine and her fiancé Stefan, Zak and his girlfriend Corene, her sisters Helen and her husband Amabile Galea and Mary, widow of Joseph Zerafa, her sister-in-law Pauline, widow of Michael Ellul, nieces and nephews and their respective spouses, other relatives and friends, grieve and mourn her sad loss. The funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, October 24, at 2pm, at St Theresa Sanctuary, Valley Road, Birkirkara, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. To honour her memory, the family requests that the following charities be supported, in lieu of floral tributes: Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi and the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ħamrun. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her husband George, her children Graziella and her husband Ivan Buttigieg, and Paul, her grandchildren Jan, Kurt and Amy, her brothers, Dr John Sammut and his wife Vivienne, residing in Australia, Joe Sammut and his wife Carmen, and Charles, residing in Canada, Emman and his wife Esther and Alfred and Mary Buttigieg, her husband’s sisters and brothers, Annie and her husband Laurence Cefai, Mary, Antoinette, widow of Frans, Pauline, Joe, Rita and her husband Walter Borg, Tony and his wife Marie, Lydia and her husband Louis, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3pm for St Paul’s Collegiate church, Rabat, were Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GALEA. On October 21, at Sir Anthony Mamo Hospital, Sister MARION, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, her brother Vincent Galea and his wife Miriam, her sister Eileen and her husband Louis Gauci, her nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today, Monday, October 22, at 2pm, at St Joseph Convent, St Domenic Square, Rabat, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Sagra Familja, Żabbar, or the Rest House in Rabat would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
