Malta Enterprise will next year launch a scheme to help small businesses whose activity depends on the UK market, Finance Minister Edward Scicluna said during the Budget speech on Monday.

He said the scheme will assist businesses through business advisory and it will follow up the work being done by the Malta UK Business Promotion Task Force in the context of Brexit.

Meetings are being held with a view of attracting business to Malta after Brexit.

The minister also announced plans for amendments to the Free Zones Act to allow for the setting up of new free zones, thus facilitating investment in logistics.
