Scrooge! by Leslie Bricusse is being staged at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre in Victoria next month. The musical, under licence from Samuel French of London, is being produced jointly by the Don Bosco Oratory and Chorus Urbanus Productions.

The best of Gozitan talent will be showcased in the musical, together with singer Ludwig Galea, who will be playing the role of Scrooge. The main parts will be played by Noel Galea, Mario Portelli, Ruth Portelli, Fabian Galea, Antonella Rapa, Hilda Grima and Kristen Grima, together with a 100-strong cast made up of musicians, singers and dancers. The musical director is John Galea, while Salvu Cremona is the artistic director. Choreo-graphy will be in the hands of Frances Zammit.

The opening night will be on November 3 at 7.30pm, with a repeat performance on November 4 at 2.30pm. There will be two other performances, one on November 11 at 5.30pm and a last performance on November 17 at 7.30pm.
